Lost in Reverie

An unedited experiment in showing up with courageous vulnerability
3

Hello friend,

Earlier this week I lay down on the floor mid-day to rest (a practice inspired by Tricia Hersey’s book Rest is Resistance which I highly recommend!) an idea popped into my head and persistently swirled around in my mind asking for attention in the days that followed.

The idea was simple: a series of unedited voice notes to share the meandering and swirly thoughts, daydreams, and noticings that weave their way through my mind.

Rather than labeling the idea as silly/random/weird or listening to the critical voice asking, “Exactly who do you think would want to listen to someone lost in their own thoughts anyway?” I let this multilayered experiment take shape.

Who’s to say the excitement of inspiration can’t be reason enough to try something new?

So, here we are with the first in a series I’m calling Practicing Presence Reveries which you can find out a bit more about in the recording above.

I suppose you could call this a podcast, you will after all be able to find it in the podcast tab on the Practicing Presence substack page. However, in an effort to stay rooted in the spirit of ease and experimentation from which this idea was born, these audio notes will be unedited, unplanned, and without the usual structure of an intro and outro, which most podcasts subscribe to.

My hope is that the unedited and unplanned nature of this experiment will feel less like a podcast and more like a series of intimate voice notes and musings shared between us.

More than anything I hope this will provide a new and spacious place to practice sharing more freely, connecting more deeply, and continually showing up through the imperfection of it all.

Here’s to giving inspiration a chance, playing with experimentation, setting our own rules, and letting our hearts lead the way.

May we cultivate courageous vulnerability as we share from the heart. May we create space for wandering and find meaningful connection along the way.

With endless love and deep gratitude,
Raina

P.S. While you’re here I wanted to remind anyone who’s interested that I’m offering free coaching sessions.
